Classical Yoga Philosophy
The Yoga Sūtras, Aṣṭāṅga Yoga, Kriyā Yoga, the guṇas, kleśas, karma, and saṁskāras — the philosophical foundations of yogic living.
It needs teachers who understand the deeper purpose of yoga.
For thousands of years, yoga has been far more than a physical practice. It has served as a complete science of human transformation — a systematic approach to understanding suffering, cultivating awareness, and creating lasting wellbeing. This certification is for those who wish to study, and teach, at that level.
In much of the modern world, yoga has become synonymous with stretching and fitness. Movement matters — but the classical tradition describes yoga as something far deeper: a system for understanding the human condition. It explores why we suffer, how habits are formed, how perception shapes reality, and how awareness can transform our experience of life.
Yet many teacher trainings spend hundreds of hours teaching postures while dedicating only a small portion of time to philosophy, psychology, meditation, breathwork, and therapeutic application.
This training restores the balance — you learn not only how to teach movement, but how to understand body, mind, emotions, behaviour, relationships, and purpose through the lens of yoga.

This is not simply a yoga teacher training — it is a comprehensive education in the science of human wellbeing, developing teachers capable of facilitating meaningful transformation.

Nrikeśarī's approach to teaching is rooted in both traditional wisdom and practical application. After leaving home at eighteen, he spent six years living as a monk, immersed in the study of yoga, philosophy, meditation, Ayurveda, and the Vedic sciences across India, Australia, Europe, and the United States.
His studies include advanced training in Yoga Therapy within the living tradition of Śrī T. Krishnamacharya, through Dr. Ganesh Mohan and the Svastha Yoga Therapy Program, alongside extensive education in Ayurveda, meditation, Vedic philosophy, and human wellbeing.
Students appreciate his ability to make profound teachings accessible — without losing the integrity and depth of the classical tradition.
These reflections come from Nrikeśarī's Yoga Therapy clients — the same therapeutic framework this certification trains you to teach. What they describe is what your future students will experience.
If you feel called to study yoga at a deeper level, teach with authenticity, and guide others towards greater health, awareness, and fulfilment — you are warmly invited to join the next intake of the Professional Yoga Teacher & Yoga Therapy Certification.
